Howick Historical Village: School

My favorite thing from our trip to Howick Historical Village was at the School. Room three went to the school to learn about the past.

First we talked about the Queen Victoria, she was 18 in 1850. We had to learn spelling, it went like this: the teacher told us a word and one of the boys or the girls put their hand up and answered it, this was called a Spelling Bee.

After that we had to do some Handwriting, it was fun because we used pens and they were sharp. We wrote on a paper and I thought it was hard for the people because when they wrote and it was not good they would get the strap.
